Yardley - Advertising Figure Group

I have always loved these German (probably Dresden) Yardley advertising pieces.   A friend's mother had one and I always wanted one too so when I got the chance to buy this one I jumped at it.   The faces are beautifully moulded.    I would date this from the late 1910s as Yardley  adopted this image by painter Francis Wheatley from his "Cries of London" series in 1913.   In the original painting the flower seller sold primroses not lavender.
