Richard Hudnut had a very successful line of cosmetics marketed under the name of Dubarry. This is the sachet powder and the bottle is very nice quality glass, a lovely large stopper and a very pretty label.
Madame DuBarry was the mistress of King Louis XV of France. She followed another of his well known mistresses, Madame Pompadour. She was executed by guillotine in 1793 during the French Revoloution.
